In 2010, before I even knew such things existed, a true miracle occurred through my hands while practicing physical therapy. A man with neck pain and also a history of facial paralysis reported that my hands were hot during our session, after which his eye opened and he was able to smile. I was floored and baffled, but was fortunate enough to be guided and mentored by an acupuncturist about energy, and I surrendered to the exploration of this practice.
Over the years, my energy practice evolved to be a medley of many things, including Reiki, the Akashic Records, the Emotion Code, Neuro-emotional Technique (NET), prayer, somatic, and guided meditation and visualization.
The system and practice of Reiki was my first formal energy practice and the system has been instrumental in my own journey to my higher self, so it is an honor to share it with others as both a practitioner and a teacher. Reiki comes from the Japanese “Rei” (spiritual wisdom) and “Ki” (life force energy) and translates into “spiritually guided life force energy.” The system of Reiki is a way of being, of thinking, and of meditating, as well as a form of hands-on energy healing and deep relaxation. The ultimate goal of the practice is to connect more fully with our true nature and to our oneness with Source and to heal, unravel, and navigate all that keeps us from it.
We are all, in our true essence, Reiki, a great bright light, love itself, one with a universal field of energy with infinite potential. And we are also all human, covered over by layers of conditioning, past experiences, fear, suppressed emotions, and belief systems that were embedded into our subconscious mind during childhood and throughout our lives.
The healthy flow of our life force energy can be negatively impacted by our past and present fears and emotional experiences. It can show up as dis-ease in the mind or body. To fully heal the body, it is necessary to address all aspects of the self.
In many eastern practices, the belief is that our blocked or stagnant energy is at the root of all physical illness, pain and disease. Here in the west, scientific studies are increasingly supporting the idea of us as vibrational energetic beings whose state of health is indeed impacted, on a cellular level, by our thoughts and emotions. The exciting thing is that the most current research also supports that we have the ability to change that and to heal ourselves!
It is important to note that a healer does not heal you. A healer holds the space for YOU to heal if and when you are ready. A healer holds you in love and non judgment and in the space of infinite possibility and love.
If you are looking for this relationship, it would be my great pleasure to team up with you in the field of energy.
